RANGERS sporting director Ross Wilson has provided an update on player contracts at today's AGM.

It comes amid uncertainty over the future of central defender Connor Goldson.

The English defender has been linked with a return south but he has come out and said that he would like to stay at Ibrox beyond this season.

Wilson insists the Scottish champions are "relaxed" on currently player contracts and he detailed that the squad has been split into three groups.

He detailed that older players and their contracts will be reviewed over the summer, while non-contributing players will be released.

He also stated on contributing players that the club has a model on salary which will not be broken.

Speaking about a possible new contract, Goldson said: "I've said this a lot of times before. But at the same time I want to see the club go to the next level.

"As I've said before, I want the club to win 56, 57 and 58.

"I don't want to be remembered just for 55.

"It is a place I want to stay but it needs to be right for me and my family.

"We've got another baby coming, a little baby boy. So it needs to be right for everyone, it's not just about me.

"Hopefully it can all get sorted sooner rather than later."
