RANGERS hero Ally McCoist insists he supports all Scottish teams in Europe.

The popular pundit's response comes as Celtic gear up to face Real Madrid this evening.

Ange Postecoglou's men host the European champions in their group stage opener under the lights.

It's the first time since 2017 that the Hoops have played in the Champions League.

They preparation could hardly be better, with Saturday's 4-0 win over Rangers the latest big result for the Scottish champions.

Appearing on talkSPORT this morning, McCoist was probed about if he'd support Celtic in their big clash.

He calmly replied: "I support all the Scottish teams in Europe.”

On the game itself, he added: "I do (think they need to change). It's very admirable of big Ange and Matt O'Riley saying 'we don't change for anybody'.

"However, when you are playing the holders and one of the best teams in the world, if you think your own game - particularly at home - is good enough to beat them, by all means go ahead and do that.

"However, surely, surely, you're going to realise and accept and understand that they are a completely different animal to anything you would play domestically."
