London Borough of Sutton Public Notices
LONDON BOROUGH OF SUTTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) THROWLEY ROAD AND THROWLEY WAY
1. The Council of the London Borough of Sutton hereby gives notice that in order to facilitate the safety of construction site works at Aspects House and because these works are being executed on or near the carriageway it made an Order the effect of which is summarised in paragraph 3 below.

2. The Order will come into effect on Monday 14 February 2022 with works expected to take 18 months to complete.

3. When the works are taking place and the appropriate traffic signs are displayed the Order will temporarily in
Throwley Road
- prohibit all vehicular traffic except for:
- access purposes and in particular any vehicle requiring rear access to businesses or premises from the service road off of Throwley Road
- those vehicles being used in connection with the works [to allow a loading facility]
- suspend Disabled Persons Parking Places and a Motorcycle Place
NOTE - the access gates operating between 6am and 10am to and from the High Street pedestrian zone for vehicles carrying out any loading / unloading activities will be maintained

Throwley Way, from the southern flank wall of Nos. 1c Throwley Way, suspends between 10am and noon
- 12.5 metres of Bus Lane in a southerly direction; and 
-  the existing waiting and loading yellow line restrictions for a length of 21.5 metres in a southerly direction [this is to allow a loading facility for construction vehicles related with the works]
Please note the provisions published in the notice of intent on 20 January 2022 for Hill Road have been withdrawn

4. Vehicles access to properties adjacent to the prohibited length of road will be maintained at all times insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

5. The prohibitions specified above apply only during such times and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
