The Southend Borough Council (Waiting, Loading, Stopping And Parking Places) (Consolidation) (Amendment No.3) Order 2022

Southend City Council on 15 March 2022 made the above-mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and the Traffic Management Act 2004 (as amended) proposes to make the following Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended)

1. The general effect of the Orders will be:-

a) To amend the current seasonal waiting restrictions single yellow lines in, Colbert Avenue, Wyatts Drive and Meadow Drive: From Monday - Friday 11am - 12pm 1 September

- 31July to Monday - Friday 8.15am - 9.15am and then 2.30pm - 3.30pm 1 September - 31 July

b) To introduce seasonal waiting restrictions single yellow lines Wyatts Drive between Junction Meadow Drive and Brettenham Drive: From Monday - Friday 8.15am - 9.15am and then 2.30pm - 3.30pm 1 September - 31 July

c) To introduce seasonal waiting restrictions, single yellow lines, on the south side of Colbert Avenue from its junction with Burges Terrace to its junction with Lynton Road and the north side from the junction with Lynton Road to opposite Christ Church Vicarage Everyday from 1 March - 31 October everyday 9am to 6pm.

d) To introduce seasonal waiting restrictions single yellow lines on the south side of Burges Road from its junction with Thorpe Hall Avenue to its junction with Burges Terrace between existing double yellow lines: Everyday from 1 March

- 31 October everyday 9am to 6pm.

e) To introduce no waiting at any time restrictions, double yellow lines in Wyatts Drive opposite the junction with Meadow Drive for approx. 24 metres.

f) To introduce no waiting at any time restrictions, double yellow lines on the northern side of Burges Road and Colbert Avenue opposite the junctions with Burges Terrace, Lynton Road, Walton Road, Clieveden Road and Warwick Road New restrictions will be the same extent as the existing restrictions on the south side at these junctions.

g) To extend the current no waiting at any time restrictions on both sides of Meadow Drive at the junction with Wyatts Drive by a distance of 8 metres.

2. A copy of the Orders, which will come into operation on 15 March 2022 and all relevant documents can also be viewed online at

until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made

3. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any relevant requirements thereof or any regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

4. A copy of each of the made Orders and all relevant documents can be inspected on the Ground Floor of the Civic Centre (address below) during normal office hours
