(A77 Ayr Road, Newton Mearns) Temporary Restriction To Use of Road Order 2022

On the 8 April 2022 the Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order authorises the closure on a section of A77 Ayr Road, Newton Mearns to vehicular traffic from the bridge over M77 up to its junction with North Hillhead Road, in order to facilitate the safe operation of essential cycle lane and carriageway resurfacing works.
The works are programmed to be carried out from Monday 30th May to Friday 10th June 2022.
Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the restriction may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident and essential winter roads maintenance vehicles will be maintained at all times.
