News of a Galatasaray bid for Glen Kamara has been dismissed by Rangers.

Sources at the club confirm there has been no offer made for the Finnish midfielder.

Reports in Turkey were picked up by media outlets in the UK linking the cultured former Arsenal man with an £8m move away from Glasgow.

Marseille, Brighton, RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt have also been cited with interest.

The Rangers Review understands that the Ibrox club have not received a bid from the Turkish giants.

Even if they did make a bid, Turkish football hasn't been in the best shape in recent years.

Earlier this month worldwide representative organisation for footballers FIFPRO issued a statement urging footballers not to sign for clubs in the country.

They stated: "FIFPRO is today issuing a transfer warning which advises professional footballers against signing for clubs in Algeria, China, Greece (Super League 2), Libya, Romania, Saudi Arabia and Turkey because of systematic and widespread contractual violations in those countries."

Kamara signed a new deal last year and is contracted for a further three years at Ibrox.

It would take a significant chunk of change for Rangers to part with their star, especially since the club have already pocketed up to a potential €37m already this summer after the sales of Calvin Bassey and Joe Aribo to Ajax and Southampton respectively.

Kamara was a key part of the team that only lost the Europa League final on penalties last year and lifted the Scottish Cup.
