Jon McLaughlin: Claimed a cross into the box following a free-kick to prevent a dangerous ball flashing across the face of goal. Started the move for Lundstram’s opener with a brave moment in possession. Had little else to do. 7

James Tavernier: Was beaten too easily after 17 minutes to allow a cross into the penalty area. Linked well with Wright going forward and always took the ball. Hit the bar with a back post header that could’ve added a third before the interval. Made Davis' late goal from the right. 8

Connor Goldson: Played as high as he ever had in the opening half hour. Twice running through the middle of the pitch and almost capping one run with a goal. His positioning did leave Sands exposed on a yellow card and wasn’t quite as adventurous after the US international looked to haul down Jordy Hiwula. 7

James Sands: Earned a harsh early yellow card up against Hiwula and could’ve seen red for a foul after that. Looked a little vulnerable as the last man in physical duels. Used the ball well when he had it but was replaced at the break given his caution. 6

Borna Barisic: Timed overlaps successfully on the left while also keeping the balance in build-up, staying deep when his defence needed the extra man. Took a couple of stray touches that were recovered by teammates. 7

John Lundstram: Had lots of ground to cover on his own but generally performed well to close gaps and supported attacks. Opened the scoring with a drive from the edge of the box that found the net via a deflection. 8

Tom Lawrence: Offered an outlet beyond the defence while happily taking the ball to feet. Lawrence looked the perfect midfielder for a domestic game of this nature, offering a real attacking threat, popping up between the lines and combining with teammates. Close with a couple of efforts inside the area and helped create Colak’s second. Deserved a goal. 8

Malik Tillman: A classy, intelligent footballer. Tillman started the pitch-long move that opened the scoring, playing through the press and opening up acres in the midfield. Constantly outplayed his opponents and made good decisions. Unfortunate to not find the net. 7Rangers Review:

Scott Wright: One of his better games in recent memory. Provided an end product, was always available to receive on the half turn and got beyond his marker regularly. Helped create the third goal. Showed what he can provide and will be rightly pleased with his afternoon's work. 8

Ryan Kent: Was constantly isolated on the left-hand side and made much better decisions in dangerous areas of the pitch. Unfortunate a couple of well-placed crosses weren’t converted and also went close with a couple of shots himself. Benefitted from the space and time Rangers worked to get him on the ball. Turned brilliantly inside to assist the third. 8

Antonio Colak: The big Croatian has a couple of sniffs before swivelling his hips to find the far corner spectacularly from a Wright cross. He was signed to score goals and is delivering on that expectation. Took his first superbly well, twisting his hips and improvising to find the far corner. His second was a classic poacher’s finish. 8

Substitutes

Leon King: Started the move for his team’s third goal with a crisp diagonal after turning cutely in possession moments before. 6

Scott Arfield: Brought energy to keep the tempo up. Should have scored late on. 5
