Rangers make the trip along the M8 this evening to face a Hearts side brimming with confidence.

The Ibrox club are in solid form too with Michael Beale yet to taste defeat since taking over from Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

The Dutchman enjoyed a convincing 4-0 triumph over the Jambos the last time Rangers visited Tynecastle, can Beale oversee another victory in the capital and just who will be in the starting line-up?

Our writers select their Rangers XIs for the clash.

Michael Beale has made a habit of consistent team selections so far and that’s likely to continue at Tynecastle.

The back four and goalkeeping position is settled and coming off the back of successive clean sheets. It’s ahead of that area that selection posers must be answered.

Does Ryan Jack play from the start after being replaced by John Lundstram due to injury on Saturday? Glen Kamara is certain to start but the berth next to him could be filled by any one of the other midfield options.

Ryan Kent and Malik Tillman are certain to feature in the starting 11 having started together in all but one of Beale’s league outings to date. Todd Cantwell is less likely to keep his starting position having played an hour at the weekend. Beale’s more likely to opt for a starting 11 with experience of this fixture.

That probably means that Fashion Sakala comes in alongside Alfredo Morelos. Even if the Zambian starts from the right, he’s a goalscorer which will be required to leave the capital with all three points.

Predicted line-up: McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, Davies, Barisic, Lundstram, Kamara, Tillman, Sakala, Kent Morelos.

Despite adding two new faces in Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin in the transfer window, it’s unlikely we’ll see them start in the red-hot atmosphere that awaits.

Raskin needs to await a work permit being cleared before he can feature but even if it is ratified in time, he should start on the bench.

Cantwell performed well on his debut against St Johnstone but with all due respect to Callum Davidson’s men, Hearts at home are a level above. Therefore, we should expect to see Fashion Sakala return on the right-hand side of the attack.

The only other alteration to Saturday’s XI is likely to be in midfield. Glen Kamara deserves to start given his excellent showing at the weekend with either Ryan Jack or John Lundstram partnering the Finn in the engine room. My money is on Jack to get the nod as he is in better form than the Scouser.

There could be an argument to be had as to whether Antonio Colak deserves to start in place of Alfredo Morelos and it’s understandable given the Croatian bagged a double at the same venue back in October and the Colombian was misfiring in front of goal on Saturday.

Despite that, El Bufalo is still the best forward option in terms of leading the line, particularly away from home and he too loves a goal at Tynecastle.

Predicted line-up: McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, Davies, Barisic, Jack, Kamara, Tillman, Sakala, Kent, Morelos.
