Rangers cruised to an easy 3-0 victory over Hearts at Tynecastle.

An Alfredo Morelos double and a deft Malik Tillman strike meant Rangers returned to Govan with all three points after a brilliant performance suffocated their rivals.

It was an outstanding night for the Ibrox side who would not have been flattered had they scored seven, such was their dominance and quality on the night.

Here are the key talking points from the game.

Morelos on song

He still looks to be carrying a touch of timber but the Colombian has responded brilliantly to Michael Beale's return. Slowly but surely he's worked his way back to some semblance of true fitness and he finished with zeal when opportunities presented themselves, even when the offside flag was raised to his frustration. A double was the least he deserved after a display that recalled his glory, bulldozing days in Royal Blue. If, as seems likely, his future will be elsewhere soon, continuing this level of form will ensure he leaves with the goodwill his mercurial but often brilliant spell in Glasgow deserves.

Tillman runs the show

It's not exactly news the young American has the talent to make a decisive difference at this level but his performance here was still notable. The Bayern Munich loanee showed flashes under Giovanni van Bronckhorst but has been galvanised under Beale. The manager has already made it clear the club will activate their automatic purchase clause in June - and no wonder. At 20, the powerful midfielder has already quickly improved and will surely further accelerate his growth in the years ahead. His stature and physique mean he's perfectly built for British football and he used that bulk to great effect to continually win the ball in dangerous areas. He's fast becoming the main man and Ianis Hagi is going to have a fight to get back into the team.

Lundstram and Kamara step to the mark

With Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin arriving as starters according to the manager, this could have been the last chance for the established midfielders to show they still have the appetite for a battle - and didn't they show it? Both snapped into tackles and set the tone for an aggressive, in your face team display that won their individual battles all over the pitch. Kamara in particular showed both grit and guile, breaking forward with intent and looking every inch the player that was drawing interest from all over Europe 18 months ago.

Beale continues to impress

The Englishman has settled into life as Rangers manager with an impressive level of comfort. He clearly learned from his spell working with Steven Gerrard and his team selection here, leaving out Cantwell for a more stable base spoke to an outlook forged in the fire of lived experience. His team were on fire from the first kick-off and didn't let up until the game was well beyond the shell-shocked Jambos. It could and should have been many more in what was, by far, the most complete domestic performance since the 55 season.
