Man by man ratings after a tumultous 3-2 Scottish Cup win over Partick Thistle at Ibrox.

Allan McGregor: A sharp save down to his left from a well struck Kyle Turner free-kick was followed up by a superb one-handed stop from Scott Tiffoney moments later. He had no chance with Kevin Holt's well struck penalty. 8

James Tavernier: Bombed up and down the right flank with his usual intent. Was outfoxed from the penalty spot when Jamie Sneddon stood firm and palmed away his straight down the middle shot. 6

Borna Barisic: Not the Croat's best game. His delivery and timing wasn't to his usual standard. Booked in the melee that followed Tillman's goal. A brilliant ball for the winner rescued his game. 6

James Sands: Used the ball impressively and defended stoutly, snuffing out one break when the last man standing in the Rangers defence. The American showed enough to suggest he will still be a useful squad player in the months ahead. 7

Ben Davies: Totally unruffled at the back to continue his solid form of late. Wasn't at fault for either of two bizarre goals lost. 6

Glen Kamara: The Finn wasn't exactly at the top of his game in a weak first half, but looked much more on the ball in the second. Continues to be mercuria under the new manager, a habit that will likely see him dropped if it continues now there's real competition in the engine room. 5

Nico Raskin: Strolled the game, demanding the ball form minute one. Looks a real find and just as capable of doing the rough stuff as he is taking the ball in tight situations. It was his pinpoint cross that teed up Colak for the equaliser. Even the untrained eye could detect a footballer has arrived in Govan. 8

Malik Tillman: The main character in the narrative drama of the game. A brilliant, mazy run down the left nearly opened Thistle up early doors and it was to be a harbinger of things to come. The big American is so difficult to knock off the ball and showcased his ball skills time and time again. Such an exciting player to watch, he has everything in his locker to be an elite footballer. Scored the second Rangers goal when he nicked the ball and showed great feet but Thistle succesfully argued they were in the process of giving the ball back. Nearly got a second in the 97th minute with another stunning run. 9

Todd Cantwell: Offered little in a poor first half and was subbed off at half time. Clearly a good player but was the odd man out as Rangers' creatives got in each other's way during a dreadful first 45 minutes. 4

Ianis Hagi: As you might expect given his first start in over a year, he looked rusty in the early forays. Went close with a header on 25 minutes as Rangers knocked at the door. Understandably hooked at the break. The Romanian will come good in time, but this afternoon was clearly a touch too soon. 4

Antonio Colak: Was penalised for a handball in the box to give Thistle a penalty but given the 'handball' was from less than a yard away, there's little he could have done. He was to make amends with a header early in the frist half, nodding home Raskin's teasing cross. The Croat nearly grabbed a second when put through on goal by Roofe seconds later but shot down the throat of Jamie Sneddon. He will need to do more to dislodge Morelos and ws largely anonymous apart from the goal. 6

Substitutes

Kemar Roofe: Made an immediate impact nearly getting on the end of a Tavernier cross and was quickly on the end of a Kent through ball but fired wide. Will be a major asset if he stays fit. 6

Ryan Kent: His arrival changed the game, giving much-needed Rangers pace and penetration. He's looked a different player under Michael Beale and keeping him at the club is surely essential. 6

Alfredo Morelos: Entered the game with 10 minutes to go. Put himself about. 3

Ryan Jack: On for Raskin late in the game. 2
