Rangers have completed their 11th signing of the summer with Serbian full-back Kosta Nedeljkovic joining on a loan deal that includes a £4 million conditional obligation to buy.
The Rangers Review reported on Monday night that the right-back would become the latest arrival in a summer full of activity.
The 20-year-old full-back joined Aston Villa from Red Star Belgrade in 2024 and has spent the past 18 months on loan at RB Leipzig.
A Serbian international and teammate of Vanja Dragojevic, Nedeljkovic has 11 caps for his country, having made his debut in a 0-0 draw against Spain aged 18.
He joins James Penrice in having arrived to strengthen the full-back positions in recent days. An athletic full-back known for his ability to travel box-to-box at pace, Nedeljkovic made his Red Star debut aged 17.
Nedeljkovic said: “For me, it was an easy decision after meeting with the coach; I only wanted Rangers. It is a big opportunity and a big responsibility. I always try to be positive and work hard so I am ready to help the team.”
RB Leipzig sporting director Marcel Schäfer described him as: "The prototype of a full-back" with "pace, attacking intent and a top mentality."
Rangers have also signed Olwethu Makhanya and Ross McCrorie to bolster Derek McInnes' defence.
Speaking at the club's shareholder meeting last week, chairman Andrew Cavenagh pre-empted Rangers would sign "three to five players" on top of the nine who'd arrived at the time of speaking.
A move for PSV winger Couhaib Driouech collapsed after Rangers discovered the extent of an injury flagged in his medical.
Driouech told ESPN: “It was a rollercoaster of emotions, but I am back. I think there was a disagreement between the doctors.
“I had a small tear in my thigh. I think it was made worse because I took a knock to the knee that week, and that turned into a hematoma.

“I feel good and am back on the pitch. I have no influence on what they decided there. I would have considered it a great step.
“It’s a shame, but I’m also happy to be back. You’re basically already there in your head.
“You already see yourself playing in a different kit, but it’s not the first time this has happened to me. It sucks, but that’s just how it is.”
The club are understood to still be targetting a replacement for the injured Youssef Chermiti, who suffered an AC injury last weekend, and additions in wide areas.
