Giovanni van Bronckhorst was speaking to Sky Sports after watching his side draw Braga in the Europa League quarter-finals.

Here’s everything he told the broadcaster.

What do you make of the draw?

I think it’s a good draw. All the teams left in the last eight are good teams and there because they deserved it and we know our opponents now so we are going to prepare as well as possible to prepare for the next round. It’s going to be hard, Portuguese teams are always hard, defensively very solid. Always skilful players so we need to prepare well but at lest we know who we will play against.

We also know the semi-final draw includes Leipzig or Atalanta. Do you allow yourself to look beyond?

No, not at all. We have to overcome Braga which will be very difficult and we will see who we play next. We are just concentrating now on the next opponent and that’s Braga.

How big an achievement is it to get to the next stage of the competition?

I think it’s a huge achievement. If you look at the teams that are left, they are all big teams in Europe. We are more than happy and pleased to be one of them. We are still involved in the competition in April which is very good but as long as you play well and be strong you can overcome this round as well so you have to do everything to do that.

Did everyone come back fit and well. Alfredo Morelos for example came of injured. Is there any update on him?

No, not yet. We came in quite late at night so today we have recovery. Some players will come in to evaluate their fitness. So far there is no news for Sunday. Hopefully, we have everyone available.

How is Connor Goldson after the racist abuse he received on Instagram?

I haven’t spoken to Connor about that. It’s a shame to see the comments again. We see it repeatedly with players sent racial comments on social media and we have to act. It’s damaging for everyone and we need to make sure the rules are changed so this can’t happen again.

You used the squad against Dundee last time, will it be the same again?

Of course we want to end this block of games with a win because we know we have a lot of players going on international duty. We have a big squad and a lot of players are fit. It’s just a case of seeing who is available today and tomorrow, who’s fresh, who doesn’t look fresh and then make the best possible line-up to go to Dundee and get the three points.

How important is it that Europe adds a feel-good factor rather then being a burden with all the games?

I think you don’t have to see progressing in Europe as a burden. How can it be a burden when you are in the last eight? We don’t have to look at it that way. Of course, we have to play many games but we want to be involved in every competition and have everyone on board. Sunday is the same, you might rotate some players but in the end we have to pick the best possible team to get the win.
