Everything Giovanni van Bronckhorst said to BT Sport after the game.

How do you reflect on the game?

We wanted a good result to take with us. It was a hard game. We conceded one goal and tried to push for the 1-1 in the second half. I think in the last 20 minutes we had more control. You see this is a side that goes in transition really quick so we had to be careful in those moments. On the ball, we should try more to break lines instead of giving the long ball quick. Sometimes we needed to keep the patience and keep the ball. We did that much better in the second half.

The way they play makes it difficult to counter-attack?

Of course, when we build up we try to make the pitch really big but you also know they have players in transition moments who can punish you a lot. That’s why we built up a little bit differently also to make sure our defence was better organised. But in the end, it’s one goal of a difference. Next week we play at home with the crowd behind us. We have to win with a margin of two and we go to the semi-finals. We know the task ahead of us.

Do you feel their inexperience can work for Rangers next week?

The atmosphere is very hostile and very overwhelming at times. You also saw today after 70 minutes they also dropped their energy levels a little bit so we have to give all the energy next week to go to the semis.

Was Leon Balogun's substitution tactical or did he take a knock?

No, we wanted the left-side a bit more solid with Calvin coming inside and with Borna playing that role also in the past as a wing-back. After the substitutions, we had more control of the game. Not only defensively but also with the ball.

Do you have the squad to cope without Alfredo Morelos?

Yes, we have to. We know he's out until the end of the season so yes. You have to do it in another way. We have a big squad, maybe with a little bit different qualities to Morelos but we have to cope with the squad we have now.

Was Aaron Ramsey fit tonight?

Yes, he was fit but we have a big squad. The midfielders who played today did well. We did the substitution with Joe Aribo coming on with Ryan Jack on a yellow card already so I think the substitutions went really good. There are more games to play so we will use all the players we have.
