Everything John Lundstram said after a 2-1 extra-time win over Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final.

How does it feel to reach the Scottish Cup Final?

It feels unbelievable. It’s been a long time coming for the club having fallen short on a few occasions. We’ve done ourselves proud today. To go 1-0 down and come back, it showed real character.

How much credit do you deserve for coming back?

Huge credit, especially with the night we had on Thursday. I don’t think people understand how tough it is to do 120 minutes back to back like that and it’s some going from the lads. Some of them out there deserve huge credit. Ryan Kent I thought was unbelievable. The work rate of Kemar. Everyone.

How tired are you?

So tired but it’s all worth it in the end isn’t it. Just to see the fans like that and celebrate with them but we have to go one step further now.

What did you make of an Old Firm with both sets of fans in?

It’s madness. You can see out there what it means to them and means to us. I’m just ecstatic to be in a cup final. This is what I’ve come here for, to win trophies with this great club so I’m over the moon.

Were the players frustrated not to be ahead at half-time?

Yeah, we all thought we were doing really well and had to do more of the same but obviously, when you are getting to the 60th or 70th minute it’s tough to keep going and get close to players like you want to get close like you’ve done for 120 minutes two days before. It’s a massive effort for everyone.

Was it in the players’ minds to put on a showing after the last two games?

Definitely. Okay, one performance was better than the other but it’s still not good enough to lose two games on the bounce to Celtic so to come here and put it right was a good feeling.
