BORNA Barisic spoke to Rangers TV following the 1-1 draw with Celtic at Parkhead.

Here is what the Croatian had to say.

Is it a case of mixed emotions today? A good performance but not the result you wanted?

Yes absolutely, especially after our good reaction second half. I think we played much better, created a couple of very good chances but didn’t score. Unfortunately in the first half we conceded that goal and at the end it’s 1-1 and we’re very disappointed.

What does it say that you were the fitter team pushing for a winner?

Yes, I agree but we needed the three points. That was a chance to close the gap to them in the league table. As I said, we didn’t do that and everyone is disappointed. We put a lot of effort in the second half, we gave everything but, in the end, 1-1 is not enough and it is what it is.

The performances have been really good in the last couple of weeks, that must give you confidence heading into Thursday?

Listen, this is now our biggest game of the season on Thursday. We know what we need to do. We know how they play and how we played there will be different at Ibrox. We cannot wait for that game really to show energy, to show desire to try to qualify for the final.

The European nights at Ibrox this season have been amazing and I guess you’ll be looking for a big performance from the fans and the team?

We know that the fans will have a big performance, for sure. It’s on us now to perform on Thursday. They’ll be behind us like always. I expect a very good atmosphere and we’ll see what’s going to happen. We’ll give everything to win the game.
