RANGERS boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst spoke to Sky Sports following the 4-0 thrashing to Celtic at Parkhead.

Here is everything the Dutchman had to say.

Giovanni, what’s your analysis of today’s game?

Of course, very disappointed with the result and with the way we conceded the goals. I think it was a repeat of the last game we played in February with a quickly taken throw-in and a free kick. We knew that was one of their strengths and both times we weren’t ready and conceded the goals. You know when you concede early goals like that then you make them stronger and you make it more difficult for yourself so I’m disappointed with that and the result. I think that’s the sad thing I feel now.

Is that a bigger frustration because you know it’s happened before and you know what’s coming?

Of course. We prepared for these moments that they were able to be dangerous and we weren’t ready so that’s very disappointing because you want to play a good game. Of course, you can always have goals against you but not in this manner. That’s not the way we need to concede goals.

Is that a lack of concentration or an attitude issue?

I don’t know what it is. It’s very difficult for me to say. The most important thing was we weren’t alert and that’s why you give two goals away and the fourth goal as well so that’s already three goals you could have avoided that makes it easier for you to get a result.

What have you said to the players after the game?

That we had a very disappointing performance today and as I said to you earlier we gave three goals away which makes it very hard when you come to Celtic in an away game. We have to take this one and we’re very disappointed we couldn’t give our fans the game we wanted so that’s also very disappointing. It’s a loss for us, we have to take it on the chin and move forward.
