Everything the young defender said at today’s press conference.

How are you feeling getting this run?

It’s amazing, being on this run and getting my chance at the football club is surreal for me.

What was it like playing at Anfield?

Crazy, but that stadium is the type of place I want to play at. I want to be playing Champions League games with this club and I just need to pick myself up from the tough defeat against Liverpool at Ibrox.

How hard is it to bounce back?

It can be tough but we win as a team and lose as a team. We’re such a tight-knit group, we will always bounce back after results like that.

Is Connor Goldson helping despite his injury?

He’s still here, he’s still at the training ground and I’m getting tips from him day in day out.

Does this feel like a big opportunity?

It’s a massive opportunity. But it’s up to me to take it. Obviously, the boss has shown that he can play different players in different positions as well. It’s up to me to take the opportunity and grasp it with both hands. I wish Connor a speedy recovery and I’ll keep his place warm.

Have you noticed an improvement from the games you've played?

To be honest I’ve not had much of a chance to reflect because the games have been coming so thick and fast. Once we have a bit of a break I’ll be able to look back on what’s happened.

What does the manager want you to work on?

Everything. We touch base regularly to get pointers. I work closely with the coaching staff. It’s about getting as much information and experience as I can.

Is there any player you model yourself on?

Not necessarily. I haven’t always been a defender. I played a bit higher up the pitch at boys' club level. Once I got a bit older I was put back into defence. I’ll play anywhere the manager wants. Playing up the park has helped me. Playing at Rangers you need to be able to play with the ball. That’s stood me in good stead.

Do you take notice of transfer rumours?

I just concentrate on this club and doing my job.

How many years do you see yourself here?

I see this as the start after getting into the team at such a young age. You see other young boys getting their chance as well.

Is a new contract on the table?

I’d like to stay at Rangers as long as possible and make my mark here. That's up to the folks off the pitch, I've got representatives who will deal with that.
