Everything the manager said to Sky Sports after the game.

What did you do well and what could you improve on today?

Well, in the first couple of minutes it was a slow start. The first ball they played in behind is ever so tight on the VAR but obviously that's what it's there for - it got the decision right on the day and then we have to come back from one nil down. I thought we controlled most of the game, just how quality on our crossing in the first half was off and as you see at the start of the second-half it was something we spoke about and that was a fantastic cross from tab for Tav for Fashion to score at the far post. Obviously Tav as well with the free kick which was an excellent free kick to get uit p and down. So, overall I was really pleased. We were in control the whole game. At half time I spoke about speeding up and our quality in the final third.

Was there a frustration about the way Motherwell equalised?

Yeah. That was poor from us and the two goals we need to get better at. But we did score four as the away team, outwith our own ground. We’ve been strong In league form since the World Cup break. We could have scored three or four more in the last ten minutes and that’s again an are we just spoke about in the dressing room in terms of improving. But I want to cut the group some slack. Our league form has been good, certainly our away form. I don’t know how many wins on the bounce that is away from home but it’s not easy. We come here today and they were on the up, they’ve been in decent form and Stuart has won the manager of the month but that was comfortable today.

What do you think about Todd Cantwell’s impact?

I think he’s surprised a few people in terms of his positioning. He’s playing a bit deeper and working ever so hard for the team. He regains the ball and is involved in all aspects. One key are is to create goals and score. He got an assist last week for Scott Arfield and scores his first today. I’m delighted with him and for him. That's a special moment for him personally.

How much are you aware of the fan protests?

It’s obvious you can’t not be aware of it today because it’s there and the fans are involved. They are voicing their frustrations. They have a team that’s getting results. Lots of players are taking part in that and we are trying to move forward and improve. I just want everyone to stay together because we are a stronger club when we stay together. I understand the frustrations of the fans, they come and watch and pay their money and they fill out every home and away game so they are free to voice their opinion. Just me at the moment as the manger, there are more things to be positive about and I would like everyone to support the team on the pitch. I understand it but it’s difficult at times for the team. We come here today and it’s a big away performance we are looking for.

Will there be more contract news now we are in the international break?

Yeah. We will give the players a few days now to relax with their families. One or two will go away with their international teams but it will give us time to have one or two conversations in-house and hopefully move forward on a few things.
