Alfredo Morelos is no longer in Rangers manager Michael Beale's long-term plans and will leave at the end of the season, according to the BBC.

Sportsound presenter Kenny MacIntyre dropped the bombshell news in a podcast about the Ibrox club's finances released today.

Colombian star Morelos, who was signed by Pedro Caixinha for £1m in the summer of 2017, is out of contract in the summer and his agent has intermittently been in discussions about a new deal for over a year.

Rangers were confident a new agreement could be sealed but positive talks went cold and manager Michael Beale revealed recently none of the nine out-of-contract players has yet to be offered a new deal under his management.

And now it looks like Morelos is certain to depart for pastures new.

MacIntyre said on today's BBC Sport podcast: "Morelos, I'm told, he's gone. The manager doesn't see him as part of the plans.

"It's difficult for the manager to speak about at the moment, I know that."
