John Souttar spoke to Rangers TV following the 2-0 defeat to Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

Here is everything he had to say.

What is the mood in the dressing room?

It was a tough 90 minutes for us. We’ve been beat 2-0 at the end of the day, you can say what you want but we’ve left here with no points and that’s unacceptable. It’s after the game, it’s fresh but we’ll need to look back and see what went wrong.

Is it more frustrating after the first-half chances?

It’s just after the game so it’s difficult for me to put my finger on what went wrong but the first goal they score is a freak goal and the second one I think we can do better. I’ll need to see it back but we can’t come up here and get beat 2-0. We need to get better.

With a huge game next weekend do you need to remain positive and be up for that one?

We’ve got to lift ourselves massively. It’s a big game on Sunday, a massive game so everyone needs to pick themselves up and not feel sorry for themselves, get ready for Sunday and get through to the final.

Losing the goals early in the second half, was that something the boys had to react to quickly?

It’s extremely difficult when you lose goals like that but you saw earlier in the season we came back here late on. It’s something you don’t want to do as a defender, you want to keep clean sheets so conceding goals like we did was extremely frustrating.
