• Adding more goals and assists
  • No title talk in dressing room
  • Playing in deeper role

Tom Lawrence has been speaking ahead of Sunday's Premiership encounter against St Johnstone.

Here is everything he had to say.

How is the atmosphere in the dressing room after going joint top?

The atmosphere's really good. It's probably tighter than it's ever been since I've been here. Everyone is loving playing football at the minute, that's the way it should be and our form speaks for itself.

How does the dressing room differ from other ones you've been in?

It's difficult to compare dressing rooms. What I would say when you sign for Rangers you know the pressure that comes with it. You have to win every game, that's just the nature of it.

Do you feel you can win every game at the moment?

It's not easy but we just take it game by game and that's what we need to do until the end of the season.

How have you found playing in a deeper role?

I enjoy it. The manager's asked me to do it and I enjoy doing it. It's a little bit different but it's something I've done in the past as well. It's something I really like doing.

You must feel the team has got good momentum just now.

Yeah, like I say, it's game by game. We can't look ahead, it's literally game by game and hopefully, it carries on.

Are you available for this weekend?

Yeah.

How do you feel your fitness is being managed?

Really good. The manager's been open, we've had a clear plan and it seems to be working so hopefully, it continues.

Has the manager changed anything specifically?

Personally, I have my own individual programme. I wouldn't say there's been major factors but tweaks here and there that have helped me out.

Do you like rotation or would you prefer to play week in, week out?

I like to be playing every game but we've got a great squad. Everyone comes in and does their job for the team and that's the way it should be.

How does the manager go about making sure you're all happy?

The atmosphere's really good in the changing room. We're all professional in there. If you're left out of one team you've just got to train well and hopefully, you're in the next team after that.

What's changed to make it a different environment?

That comes with playing well and winning games. Everyone's confidence is up so that helps.

Do you aspire to return to the Welsh setup at some point?

I'm not really thinking too far ahead. Rangers is my biggest focus right now. If I can play as many games as I can for Rangers then we'll see what happens.

Is the manager encouraging you to take more shots?

I've always liked shooting. The manager's on at me a lot because I think I turn down shots more than I should do. It's something I want to do, I need to be scoring more goals and assisting.
