Stuart Kettlewell has received a ban from the Scottish FA for complaining about officiating during Rangers win over Kilmarnock.

The Ayrshire side were dumped by three goals to nil at Rugby Park on Saturday evening and there were decisions in the game that irked both sides.

The home side were incensed when they were not awarded a penalty for Mohamed Diomande's challenge on David Watson, and when Jack Butland was not sent off for coming out of his box to foul Bruce Anderson.

Kettlewell bootted a water bottle in the technical area as well as airing his grievances vocally.

Kilmarnock have confirmed that the SFA have handed down a one-game ban, which they have duly accepted. The 41-year-old manager will be suspended for the trip to Aberdeen this Sunday.

A club statement said: "We can confirm that manager Stuart Kettlewell will be suspended for one match following a sending off in the match against Rangers.

"This suspension will be effective immediately, and will be served during the match against Aberdeen at Pittodrie. The Club accepts this ruling and will make no further comment."
