Besiktas have hit out at reports of a crisis involving former Rangers winger Vaclav Cerny.
Fans of the Ibrox club were robbed of seeing the Czech star strut his stuff on the flank for longer as he joined the Turkish side last summer instead of making his loan in Glasgow permanent.
The 28-year-old has scored seven and assisted six so far this season as his new side sits fifth in the league.
But they were rocked last week by reports in a Turkish newspaper claiming Cerny was unhappy at Besiktas and was already on the lookout for a new club. He had reportedly seen an exit in January blocked.

The club have now responded angrily and claim it was an attempt to destabilise them.
A Besiktas statement reads: “The news published in Fanatik Newspaper under the headline 'Vaclav Cerny Crisis at Beşiktaş' is entirely baseless in all its elements.
“The report claiming that Cerny wanted to leave our team during the mid-season transfer period but our Board of Directors did not permit it, and that through his manager, Cerny conveyed to our Board of Directors that he was unhappy and wanted to leave our team at the end of the season, is completely a product of imagination.
“We kindly request our fans not to give credence to fabricated news stories prepared at a desk with the intent to tarnish our team, and we present this to the attention of the public with our respects.”
