Bulgaria boss Alexander Dimitrov has revealed he's held talks with Rangers striker Ryan Naderi and is waiting for him to make a decision on his international future.

The Ibrox hitman is eligible to play for Germany, Bulgaria or Czech Republic, but the Bulgarians are desperate to persuade the Dresden-born player to represent them.

They are currently in Indonesia, preparing to play against the Solomon Islands today and then the winners of the game against the hosts or Saint Kitts and Nevis, in FIFA Series 2026.

And Dimitrov was quizzed on whether he had managed to tempt Naderi into the Bulgarian fold.

He said: "Yes, I have spoken to Ryan personally.

"I have watched his performances firstly in Germany and now in Scotland.

"The boy was born in Germany, with a German passport, with Czech citizenship too.

"And the decision he has to make about whether to play for the national team of Bulgaria or any other country is not easy and is final.

"Even if he records one minute for any senior national team, he cannot change his mind after that.

"So he wants time to think.

"But I hope he makes his decision as quickly as possible because Ryan has many qualities, he has potential and can help our national team."
