Danny Rohl has admitted he hopes Rangers will have fans at Parkhead for next weekend's Old Firm derby.

The SPFL is set to make a decision on whether Celtic should give their rivals tickets for the away end a week on Sunday, following the mass trouble on the pich at Ibrox at the Scottish Cup clash.

The Parkhead club offered Rangers tickets to long as they didn't sell to their ultras, the Union Bears, but this was refused and no tickets were offered as a result.

From a selfish point of view, Rohl wants the backing of the club fans but he also insists supporters are what make football.

He said: "Of course we hope to have all our supporters with us. In general, such a game should always have great supporters on both sides. I think that makes the football really exciting.

"That's the reason why we love the sport.  But it's not my job to decide this. I can just cross my fingers and hope that everything goes well in our direction as well."
