Findlay Curtis has insisted he is ready to showcase his talents at Rangers after pushing for a loan last season.
The Ibrox starlet, 20, left the Ibrox club on loan in January to join Kilmarnock, where he would help the club avoid relegation.
Curtis scored five times in 14 outings for the Ayrshire side, with his impressive form earning him a spot in the Scotland squad for the World Cup.
He featured for Scotland in the victory over Haiti in the Group C opener, coming off the bench in that match and again for the final minute against Brazil.
Now, though, Curtis is fully focused on proving himself at Rangers after developing on loan and with the national team.
"I think it is one of those ones where you can't really sit on a bench at this age; you need to go and showcase your talent," he said in a Rangers TV interview.
"I did push for a loan, I think it was the best thing for me.
"I think it is one of those ones where if you go and do really well, it will stand you in good stead.
"But even if you do bad then you get those learning experiences to go out on loan again and show what you're about.
"I think I've done really well, scored really good goals, and it has put me in good stead for this season, and I can't wait to get going."

He added: "I'm really happy to be back at Rangers now.
"I want to showcase my talent here, in Europe and the biggest stage."
On the main areas he has developed through his loan exit last season, Curtis said: "I think it is probably more my mental side.
"You need to just get on with it. And I've done that."
Curtis is currently with the Rangers first team in Spain for a training camp with the winger scoring against Kaizer Chiefs in a friendly.
Asked about working under Derek McInnes and his coaching staff, Curtis said: "They've been brilliant.
"They've been amazing with me.
"I'm really looking forward to working with them."
