Filip Helander’s bullet header separated the two who traded blows in an entertaining encounter in Govan. 

The Ibrox men were tested to the full by a combination of a Covid outbreak and the improvement of their foes under Ange Postecoglou. 

The team from the East End are a much more threatening outfit this term than under Neil Lennon. 

But a gritty performance that was redolent of Walter Smith’s teams of the 1990s was enough to grab all three points.
