Allan McGregor: Got a hand to Tony Watt’s early one-on-one which allowed Goldson the time to get back and intercept. Didn’t have any other major involvement bar dealing with some uncomfortable back passes. Couldn’t do much about the goal. 6

James Tavernier: Had a relatively quiet first half, made one error which led to possession being turned over. Was often found in space and provided a few whipped deliveries which should have been met. A little lax at points with his passing. Almost scored another wonder goal with Kelly tipped over. Beaten too easily in the lead up to the equaliser. 6

Connor Goldson: Made an excellent early tackle on Tony Watt which prevented the away side from going a goal ahead, covered well for Simpson on another couple of occasions and held a good high line. Comfortable as ever stepping into midfield. Almost put the ball into his own net with a stray backpass. 6

Jack Simpson: Almost at fault for conceding an opener by allowing Watt through on goal but was bailed out by his partner. He still looked a little hesitant stepping into midfield. Should have done much better at the goal and was beaten far too easily. Made a good block at 1-1. 6

Borna Barisic: A sharper performance than in midweek, wasn’t guilty of hitting crosses from deep and rushing the final aspect of his team’s build-up. Still hasn’t quite recaptured his form when one on one. Could have done better to block the goal. 6

Steven Davis: After a below-par outing in midweek, he was quick to spot and anticipate danger and retain pressure. Had two excellent shooting opportunities which he should have done better with. He should have done better in a counterattack, but after making up ground was wayward with his final ball. 6

Glen Kamara: Looked back to his best and was strong and aggressive in the turnover. He looked to drive forward in possession and hunted down opposition players when they had the ball, particularly in the opening half. Did plenty of simple things really well to allow his team to play in the opening hour. 7

Joe Aribo: Flicked the ball on well for the goal and was far slicker in and around the penalty box. Made a couple of mazy runs into congested spaces that almost resulted in a clear chance. Set Roofe up for what appeared a clear goal that went over the bar. Was more aggressive on the ball than in midweek, committing men but not clinical enough at points. 6

Scott Wright: Looked very sharp, able to twist and turn in both directions and popping up all over the final third. Injected pace behind the backline, while also possessing the threat to drop in front of the defence. Had a couple of early second-half opportunities that he couldn’t do better with. 7

Kemar Roofe: Aided by his strike partners looking to stretch the defence he picked up pockets of space constantly to interchange quickly and move the ball. Played Sakala in well in the lead-up to the corner which earned a goal. Had a number of other ‘nearly’ moments – but his intelligence was always evident. 6

Fashion Sakala: Started for the second time in the league and looked a threat from the off. Just before his goal, which he celebrated with typical enthusiasm, he tested Kelly and also saw a later shot squirm under the keeper only to be cleared. Gave a threat off the shoulder as well as slick interchanging with his front three. Deserves a run in the team. 7

Substitutes

Alfredo Morelos: Didn’t have any real chances after coming on and his team hardly created anything after the game drew level. 4

Juninho Bacuna: Came onto make his debut with the game delicately poised, looked confident and took an early shot which trailed wide. 5

Scott Arfield: Has hardly featured this season and wasn’t able to make his desired impact from the bench. 4
