IANIS HAGI and Nathan Patterson have returned to Rangers training following recent coronavirus and injury issues.

The Light Blues look set to be boosted by the pair for their Premier Sports Cup clash with Livingston tomorrow evening.

Steven Gerrard's men take on the Lions at Ibrox as they aim to book their place in the last-four of the compeition.

Gary McAllister spoke to the media this afternoon to preview the quarter-final tie against David Martindale's outfit.

And while Ryan Kent remains out for this one with a hamstring issue, Rangers could welcome back Hagi following his injury and Covid issues, with Patterson also looking well in training.

The Gers No.2 said: "Ianis is back and trained, he looked pretty sharp. Ryan Kent will be missing. Patterson has had an ankle issue recently but he trained and looked sharp today.

"Ryan Jack is still missing and working hard to get back to full fitness."

Reflecting on the difficulty and importance of the tie, Gary Mac insisted the team are ready to go all the way in this season's League Cup.

He added: "This is a really big game for us, with the incentive of getting to Hampden. It is an early cup competition in terms of a December final and we are fully prepared for it.

Rangers Review: Gary McAllisterGary McAllister

"First and foremost we have to concentrate on the match against Livingston.

"At the start of the season we would have taken this current position, us being who we are and with standards we set we feel as though we should have a few points.

"However, we are sat top of the league and with the chance to go to a semi-final.

"When teams come to Ibrox and defend in a low-block we have to find ways to break that down.

"We can get the ball wide to players with terrific deliveries but we can't just have the one trick and have to play through the middle and occasionally go over also."
