Graeme Murty has hailed his “amazing experience” and thanked the Rangers and the supporters as he departs the club for pastures new.

The Ibrox men announced earlier today the Head of Elite Academy Development would be leaving after an eventful five years in Govan.

Murty took the first-team reins on two occasions after both Mark Warburton and Pedro Caixinha left - with mixed results.

And while the 47-year-old had ups and downs when in charge of the first team, he said he was delighted to have played his part in the club’s return to prominence.
