Graeme Murty has hailed his “amazing experience” and thanked the Rangers and the supporters as he departs the club for pastures new.
The Ibrox men announced earlier today the Head of Elite Academy Development would be leaving after an eventful five years in Govan.
Murty took the first-team reins on two occasions after both Mark Warburton and Pedro Caixinha left - with mixed results.
And while the 47-year-old had ups and downs when in charge of the first team, he said he was delighted to have played his part in the club’s return to prominence.
He said: “I would like to thank the fantastic staff, players, parents and supporters that have made the last 5 years such an amazing experience. It has been an honour and a privilege to represent this historic club and be a part of its journey back to where it belongs.
“I would also like to thank the board of directors for their faith and support when asking me to take on 1st team responsibilities, which I was very honoured and proud to accept. My family and I have loved our time in Glasgow and look forward to our next adventure.”
