How good was it to grab the winning goal at the end there?

Yeah, it was good to get back on the pitch first and foremost to help the team to win the game. They fought hard to win the game before I came on and me, Scotty and Lunny managed to help get us over the line.

What have you made of the new manager so far and how much has he encouraged you?

Well, we have played three games and we have got three wins so it’s a very positive start and it's going in the right direction.

What was his message to you tonight as you were coming onto the park?

Energy, running, secure the ball and bring some quality. I tried my best to bring those things.

What were you thinking as you were about to hit that penalty?

You just don’t think about it. I concentrate on my routine for my penalties then hope it goes in the back of the net.

And it would have been fantastic to celebrate in front of the travelling support?

I was picturing it in my head when I was warming up because obviously if I come on in the second half I’m going to be shooting into our fans. So it was good to get a goal.

Does that make up for missing an important period?

I might have missed two games and I could have pushed (to be back) for the third but I think it was better to be sensible and wait for this one and it’s paid off.

Do you feel fit and ready to go now?

Of course I’m ready.
