Below is a transcript of everything the Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst said to Sky Sports.

What’s your assessment of that win today?

We have had a big win here. It’s a difficult place to come. I said it before the game. I think the first minutes of the game you see what Hearts bring. They started really well but I think we defended the pressure well and made sure that we had chances on the counter-attack. We did perfectly in the first 15 minutes which gave us confidence and the 2-0 was important. They also had a lot of chances in the beginning. But we kept fighting as a team together until the end to get a result. You could see the game got quite physical in the second half. We were good in keeping the ball, especially when Hearts had ten men then you knew we could control the game, only one bad pass from Calvin gave them a chance to score. Other than that we had control and dominated the last phase of the game.

Were you pleased with your game management?

For me it’s the most important thing today, also in difficult grounds like this we have to play our own game, keep our standards and keep our level high. If you don’t have that it’s going to be really difficult. The only outcome of the result lies upon ourselves and today we were there and it’s why we won the game.

How pleased are you with Joe Aribo?

He was great, a very important part of the team. He plays really well in this position he plays now in midfield, a little bit as an 8 or 10 so we can rotate a lot in there. He just keeps on looking for the right times to break and that’s something we talk about a lot, not just with him but with all midfield players. It was a great goal today.
