RANGERS welcome Premiership strugglers St Johnstone to Ibrox tonight looking to maintain their lead at the summit.

Light Blues boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst has won every league match since taking over the reins last month.

With Callum Davidson's men rooted to the foot of the table, the champions are fully expected to take all three points.

Rangers were devastating against Hearts on Sunday and there seems no reason Giovanni van Bronckhorst will want to fiddle with a winning formula.

The front trio of Sakala, Kent and Morelos looks to be bursting with attacking menace and with the kind of pace that will kill teams if they leave any space in behind.

The Colombian still needs to work on his tracking back but with Kemar Roofe side-lined, he will be the main man for the rest of December.

In midfield, at home you'd expect the manager to stick with a single pivot and two more advanced, retaining the immense attacking threat that marked the win in Gorgie.

St Johnstone will be disciplined and Callum Davidson is one of the best tacticians in the league so Ianis Hagi's can opener ability may come in handy at some stage off the bench. Similarly, you wouldn't discount an appearance for Jermain Defoe as the evening wears on.

Rangers: McGregor, Barisic, Tavernier, Goldson, Bassey, Kamara, Aribo, Arfield, Kent, Sakala, Morelos.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst hasn't altered his starting line-up a great deal since taking over from Steven Gerrard and it's unlikely he'll do so for this match.

That being said, he may look to freshen up one or two positions given the workload from Sunday's trip to Tynecastle.

Allan McGregor will presumably retain his place between the sticks while the back four will no doubt stay the same.

It's likely that Glen Kamara and Joe Aribo will sit in front of the back four with a front three of Ryan Kent, Ianis Hagi coming in for Scott Arfield and perhaps Scott Wright replacing Fashion Sakala, supporting Alfredo Morelos up top.
