RANGERS starlet Nathan Patterson is reportedly interested in a switch to join Premier League side Everton.

The full-back, 20, is a fully-fledged Scotland international and has impressed in a bit-part role under Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

Everton reportedly had a two bids for Patterson booted out in the summer but it's claimed they could test Rangers' transfer resolve again.

The Times suggest Patterson is "keen" on a transfer to the Premier League as he remains behind Ibrox captain James Tavernier at right-back.

Patterson did however start in the win over Dundee United. He was first deployed at right-back before moving to perform admirably on the left-flank as the backline was shuffled early in the 1-0 win at Ibrox.

The report goes on to reveal Rangers are reportedly targeting around a £10m fee is Patterson is to leave Glasgow.

The Toffees are in the market for a right-back to provide cover for Seamus Coleman.

It'd be a blow for Van Bronckhorst if the Ibrox talent was to leave after the manager detailed his desire to work with Patterson.

Speaking on his time working with the full-back on December 10, the manager said: “I’m really happy with Nathan. A young player who is very talented and an international for Scotland.

“You can see what he brings to the team, especially the right full-back position. I have two players who can play there and contribute a lot to this team.

“His performance on Thursday was really good and I’m happy with him and looking forward to working with him for a longer time and to develop Nathan into a better player.

“He wants to learn so I think that’s very important for a young player.”
