RANGERS defender Jack Simpson could be offered a way out of Ibrox by Middlesbrough.
The English Championship club are managed by former Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder, who is believed to be a fan of the former England Under-21 internationalist.
The centre-back arrived from Bournemouth in February of last year but has found first-team opportunities hard to come by, managing just 11 appearances and around 600 minutes in his year-long stint at the club.
The out-of-favour 25-year-old was left out of Rangers' Europa League squad this term and his time at the club appears to be drawing to a close.
According to the Scottish Sun, Ibrox chiefs are happy to let Simpson leave during the January transfer window - with Boro keen on a loan deal.
