With Alfredo Morelos out on international duty do you think with yourself, Kemar Roofe and Cedric Itten, you’re going to give the boss plenty of options?

I think it’s always sad without having the full squad. It’s always nice when the full squad is there so we are all prepared for the game but, at the same time, I have to accept the situation and be ready for the game so I think we are ready for the game and we are hopeful of giving the boss what he wants. We are ready to fight for this squad tomorrow.

Livingston are likely to play a low-block, what are the key things Rangesr need to do to overcome that?

I think we just have to keep on doing what we’re doing. There is nothing much to change, of the teams we have played in the past, they are always doing the same thing – playing the low-block. I think we have to play the same way we have been training with the wide wingers continuing to dribble and shooting, that’s the only way to get goals. We have very good players, high quality players who can get the result.

How big a boost is it to have Joe Aribo back?

He’s one of the most important players of the squad so it’s very nice to have him back. It’s sad that they (Nigeria) were knocked out but, at the same time, it’s good news for us because we are happy to have him. He’s always there for the squad, he’s a very good guy to have in the squad. He’s always bringing the positive energy so we know that when we have him tomorrow it will be a very good thing for us because we know what to expect from him.

Which position are you most comfortable playing upfront?

Honestly, for me, I really don’t have a specialised position so whatever position the boss gives me, I’m very comfortable if I’m playing as a striker or as a left winger or right winger. I think I’m ok in all these positions. I think, sometimes, it’s more important to get the chances, if I am playing as a winger, I am ok with that or as a striker so I think I’m comfortable to play all positions.

When you scored against Stirling Albion you were pointing to your head, can you explain?

Yeah that was special because I promised the fans I will only cut my hair when I score in 2022 so it was a special goal and a very good motivation to start a new year.

Have you had it cut?

Yeah, I’m looking fresh!

How much do you enjoy working with Roy Makaay and are you learning a lot from him?

It’s always nice to have people like Roy Makaay, with his experience I’ve been learning a lot. He’s always there for me giving me video training after the training; shooting and dribbling, stuff like that.

I’m having a very good time with him and I’m very happy to have him in my career, it’s a great honour to work beside such kinds of people and I believe that I will learn a lot from him.

What’s the atmosphere like amongst your fellow forwards, do you all push each other on?

We are always there to push each other in training and also when we have games. The good thing about us is that even if you don’t play, say you are on the bench or starting, you are always there to motivate each other, encourage each other to keep on working extra hard. This is the very good thing about us as strikers, we don’t really do things as a competition. We are all trying to work together to help the team. It’s very important for us to deliver more, it’s always sad when some players are not part of the squad, we’ll miss him (Alfredo Morelos) for sure, he’s a special player
