The midfielder spoke to RangersTV after tonight's 3-0 Old Firm defeat.

Can you sun up your emotions after that defeat?

Obviously very disappointed, let ourselves down massively tonight and it’s a sore one to take but as a group of men we need to stand up and address that tonight, pick the bones and see what’s went wrong defensively, see what we can do better and come Sunday, it’s going to be another tough one.

For us as players the club and support that we are leading, we need to lead and stand up and be counted.

Where did it go wrong in the first 45?

I don’t think we were close enough, we were too passive, standing off and not making tackles. This fixture is about winning the battle first, it’s always a battle especially coming to Celtic Park, the crowd are up and you know it’s going to be a battle. I just don’t think on that side of it we really turned up and on the flipside, we concede the goals which for us are bad to lose. We need to take our medicine, stand up and have a reaction come Sunday because Hearts will be thinking we will feel the effects of that defeat. We need to dust ourselves down, discuss it and move on quickly.

Any positives to take from the second half?

Nah, not really. It’s tough because we’re pushing and you can’t really see positives just now because it’s raw. If we address it, maybe we created a bit more, I hit the bar and if something goes in we maybe get a reaction and make it a bit nervy, but it never came. We need to bounce back, it’s a sore one we’re disappointed and we’ve let ourselves down, the club and the fans. But the only thing we can do as players is stand up and come Sunday get right out the traps and be ready.
