RANGERS defender Filip Helander has been dropped from the Glasgow club's European squad ahead of the Premiership champions' Europa League knockout clash with Borussia Dortmund later this month.
Now that the January transfer window is closed, clubs are required to submit a list of players eligible to play in continental competition for the rest of the season.
Helander hasn't featured for the Ibrox club since sustaining a knee injury back in September and the Swedish centre-half has now been dropped from the European squad altogether, despite returning to first-team training last month.
Ianis Hagi - who is expected to be out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery - has also been removed, as has Nathan Patterson, who last month joined Everton in a £16million move.
Midfielder Juninho Bacuna has also been dropped, defender Jack Simpson has once again not been registered and Cedric Itten has also been left out.
January arrivals James Sands, Amad Diallo and Aaron Ramsey - who were brought in on loan from New York City, Manchester United and Juventus respectively - have been named in the squad.
