RANGERS resume their Scottish Cup campaign this evening when they make the journey south to Galabank to take on Annan Athletic.

A raft of changes are expected given they are coming up against lower league opposition and with the Europa League tie with Borussia Dortmund on the horizon.

Our writers select their starting XIs for the clash.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has been open that the Scottish Cup tie with Annan will see significant changes, how far he takes that is anyone's guess.

In goal, Jon McLaughlin will take the slot of Allan McGregor and while Connor Goldson retains his place to keep some level of consistency and solidity, there will be significant changes.

Filip Helander makes his extremely welcome return tomorrow and you'd imagine he will slot in alongside his old pal Connor Goldson who rarely misses games.

New signing Mateuz Zukowski should get a chance to show what he can do, allowing James Tavernier some much deserved rest while Borna Barisic needs minutes to get his confidence back.

In midfield, Steven Davis and Glen Kamara can alternate between sitting and getting forward while Aaron Ramsey will make his first start in light blue. It will be an exciting prospect to see the superstar finally strut his stuff after his loan move from Juventus.

In wide areas, Fashion Sakala and Amad Diallo can use their pace and trickery to cause Annan problems, although you can't see the home side wanting to leave too much space in behind their defence.

Up front, Kemar Roofe should be given the opportunity to boost fitness and confidence in a game where chances will surely come his way. Cedric Itten will also come into contention and may sneak into the team if van Bronckhorst wants a more physical option.

Team: McLaughlin, Barisic, Zukowski, Helander, Goldson, Kamara, Davis, Ramsey, Sakala, Amad, Roofe.

Without meaning to be disrespectful to Annan, this is a tie Rangers should be winning with their B team therefore changes are expected.

Starting in goal, Jon McLaughlin will deputise for Allan McGregor and the back four is likely to somewhat different to what we're used to. Mateusz Zukowski should make his debut in place of James Tavernier with Connor Goldson partnering the returning Filip Helander. The big Swede has been sorely missed and will be a welcome addition to the starting XI.

Left back is interesting, Borna Barisic doesn't deserve to start based on current form so it could be a toss-up between Jack Simpson and Calvin Bassey. Based on the fact he played in the previous round, Simpson may very well get the nod.

Expect James Sands to return to the engine room, likely alongside Steven Davis with an attacking trio of Fashion Sakala, Amad Diallo and Aaron Ramsey, making his first start for the club, supporting Kemar Roofe up top.

Team: McLaughlin, Zukowski, Goldson, Helander, Simpson, Davis, Sands, Ramsey, Sakala, Amad, Roofe.
