England midfielder Jude Bellingham admits he loved the Ibrox atmosphere in Dortmund’s 2-2 draw with Rangers - but lamented his side’s failure to take their chances.

The Germans were dangerous throughout a thrilling 90 minutes in Govan that saw the old ground shake to the sway and beat of the fans amid an ear-splitting atmosphere.

And Bellingham enjoyed the experience of Ibrox at its best despite seeing his side knocked out of the Europa League.

He told BT: "It was brilliant to play here of course, it’s a brilliant atmosphere, a good team, a good test. We couldn’t do it. It is what it is.

“It was the worst time for half-time to come. Our momentum was gone. We came out and we didn’t have that bite we had in the first half and when you are pushing for a goal, there will always be spaces in behind us.

"Rangers have pace and really good quality, and they were always going to get in.

"It was one of those nights - we didn't take all our chances and Rangers took theirs. Fair play to them.

“It’s a massive disappointment. I feel like we have let the fans and staff down. We have put a lot into this trying to win the tie and we could have done more. That’s the thing that kills you in football.

“I tried to take responsibility, get on the ball and get us playing. I scored the goal but it’s just my job. I want to help the club win games but I havn’t done it tonight so it’s a failure.”
