ALLY MCCOIST reckons a Celtic title collapse to Rangers this season would be the "biggest of all time".

Ange Postecoglou's Hoops are currently six points clear in the race for the Premiership crown, but with five games remaining, and an Old Firm fixture to come, there is simply no room for slip-ups.

After Rangers' impressive week of booking their place in the Europa League semi-finals and Scottish Cup final, some have argued that the victories could give them a bounce heading into the remaining fixtures.

But as much as McCoist was impressed with the performances, he reckons the title is still a long way off.

Asked about the proposition of a Rangers title charge, he told talkSPORT: "I hope so. You've got to keep going. You've got to believe and keep going.

"It would be one of the biggest collapses of all time however, you've got to believe it can happen."

On the huge victories over Braga and Celtic, he continued: It's been a great week. I was at the game [on Thursday]. I was working and it was brilliant.

"The atmosphere was amazing.

"They should have been home and dry, honestly it could have been 5-0 then we lost a goal right in the last seven minutes to take it into extra-time.

"But that's just what we do."
