ALLY MCCOIST has blasted airlines for putting up their costs for desperate Rangers fans looking to get to Seville.

Ibrox fans will travel in their thousands to the Spanish city and many are finding unique ways to get there on the cheap.

McCoist has revealed that he tried to book some flights for his sons before the cost skyrocketed. He told talkSPORT: “It’s a disgrace what the flight companies are doing.

“Right before the game I could get three flights from Gatwick to Faro for £140. Right after the game it was £360 for one.

“It’s so unfair. Hotels are £700 a night and all that. Mental.”

Some fans even explored the option of taking a hot air balloon to Seville and McCoist says he would happily get shot out of a cannon, just to make the game.

He added: “If it’s to go see the Rangers, you’d just sit down and put your headphones on.

“I think it would be brilliant.

“I would go to the cliffs of Dover and put myself in one of those cannons at the circus and get fired across the channel to go see the Rangers in Seville.

“If there’s any circuses out there who want to sponsor me, I’m willing to do that.

“I’ll get in a cannon as long as they have a big massive net around about Calais for me to land. That would be marvellous.”
