THE timeline for when Rangers are expected to receive bids for Calvin Bassey has been laid out, according to one report.

The 22-year-old has become a star player for the Ibrox club in recent months.

The defender last week put in two man of the match performances in the Europa League and Scottish Cup finals respectively.

Several Premier League clubs are now queuing up to sign the highly-rated Nigeria international, who can play at centre-half of left-back.

It was said last night that Rangers will only be tempted to sell one of their top assets for £25million or more.

However, according to a report in the Telegraph, a deal to take him away from Ibrox is not expected soon.

They say that bids are anticipated later in the summer, after the international fixtures.

Bassey will be on national team duty until June 13, before returning to Rangers pre-season later that month.

He is understood to be happy at the Light Blues, but would be open about discussing a move elsewhere.
