RANGERS skipper James Tavernier has already started his build-up to next season as he endured a gruelling training session in the scorching Dubai heat.

The Ibrox captain was pictured and filmed going through a number of drills with his brother Marcus and other players, including Sheffield United’s Luke Freeman and Bournemouth's Jordan Zemura.

Just two weeks ago Tavernier lifted the Scottish Cup as Rangers defeated Hearts at Hampden Park, and he hasn't given himself much time off as he joined forces with the Elite Sports Performance team in Dubai.

Alongside the footage and pictures from the session, the football performance group shared the caption 'don't be rusty be ready'.

Meanwhile, Rangers are reportedly eyeing a move for Stoke City full-back Josh Tymon.

The England youth international is being plotted as a possible replacement for Borna Barisic, with a number of clubs looking to swoop for the Croatian's signature this window.

The Scottish Sun say Rangers will only make a move for Tymon if they qualify for the Champions League, or sell Barisic.

The 23-year-old moved to Stoke from Hull City before spending time on loan at MK Dons and Portuguese side Famalicao.
