CALVIN BASSEY is starting for Nigeria today adding further confusion to his cryptic Instagram check-in at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Rangers defender shared a picture on his story from Wolves’ training ground as he thanked a luxury chauffeur company for their services.
Bassey’s post was quickly deleted, and he has now been named in Nigeria’s starting XI for their African Cup of Nations qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe in Morocco today.
The former Leicester man was a key performer for the Ibrox outfit last term as they made it all the way to the Europa League final, while also lifting the Scottish Cup.
Bassey's performances have resulted in transfer speculation linking him with a big-money move down south and Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa have been heavily linked.
It is understood Rangers would be holding out for a fee of around £25million if Bassey was to be sold this transfer window.
