Morelos took part in an open training session at Ibrox this morning before Van Bronckhorst confirmed discussions over his future.
Revealing the bombshell news of "very positive" talks over a new contract, Van Bronckhorst told Sky Sports News: "The other issue if the contract he has.
"He is very positive about signing a new contract.
"We are doing our best to get Morelos signed to a new contract.
"Hopefully in the next coming weeks we will sort it out but still the talks are ongoing."
And on Morelos' return to first-team training, Van Bronckhorst added: "I am only looking for his physical fitness at the moment. He has been out for a long time but working really hard to get back to the levels he has to be to perform in games."
