RICHARD FOSTER insists Alfredo Morelos has once again become a Rangers liability.

The Colombian striker has struggled in his return to fitness following a thigh problem that ruled him out of both the Europa and Scottish Cup finals last term.

Morelos was thrown on against Hibernian on Saturday but was red carded almost instantly for throwing an arm during an aerial dual.

The 26-year-old looked a frustrated figure and Foster believes he has to change his mindset before becoming a Rangers regular again.

He said on Sportscene: "This weekend was Morelos back to what we saw when he first came over. He's lacking in match fitness so he's obviously frustrated at not playing on Saturday.

"But now he's going to miss the next two games because he can't play in them.

"He can be a huge asset for Rangers and he was magnificent before he got injured in the run last season. On the form he was in before he's a huge loss to Rangers.

"The way he is just now... they're probably not going to miss him that much because at the moment he's a bit of a liability."
