KEMAR ROOFE has hinted he's nearing a Rangers return from injury.

The Ibrox striker has struggled for fitness since the tail-end of last season.

Roofe was a sub in the Scottish Cup triumph over Hearts and featured from the bench in the Europa League final.

However, he hasn't yet been involved this season after suffering an injury blow in pre-season.

But, Roofe has hinted he could be ready to return to action as he shared an image of him in his boots and Rangers training kit.

He accompanied the Instagram story post with a caption which read: "Loading".

Roofe's comeback update comes after Alfredo Morelos was left out the Rangers squad for the trip to the Netherlands this week.

Rangers take on PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League play-off round second-leg after a 2-2 draw at Ibrox last week.

But Morelos is not travelling as part of the playing squad after concerns over his fitness and attitude from Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

It's understood the Ibrox boss consulted senior pros who all agreed with his actions to drop the striker for the match.
