KENNY MILLER has opened up on his furious training ground bust-up with Madjid Bougherra.

The pair clashed at the Rangers training ground back in 2009 after Miller called the defender out to the media for turning up late to training on numerous occasions.

Asked about the incident with the former Algerian international on Open Goal, Miller responded: "I ended up having a bit of a tear up with him because he kept coming back late every time.

"We were playing Champions League and he would show up late to come back the week before.

"I think the gaffer never played him because he had turned up late.

"I used to get wheeled to the media every time there was controversy and I was asked about it.

"I said 'no it is not good enough, he has done it two or three times'.

"The big man wasn't happy. So he has come for me in training.

"He done me late off the ball. I knew what he was doing because he wasn't happy because I had a go.

"I ended up volleying him back and everything comes of it.

"That week we kind of made up. I think I came on and scored a winner against Hamilton and we were back pals again, giving him a big cuddle."

Despite their toxic relationship, Miller insists he was still a huge fan of Bougherra as a player.

He added: "He was a player. He was brilliant aye.

"What a player. He was good at everything. He could defend, he was quick and strong.

"He was a big lump of a boy but he loved to get forward.

"I remember that goal he scored against Dundee United when he just dribbled through everyone. He was a good player."
