Rangers chairman Douglas Park has been quizzed on his five year plan for the Light Blues during the clubs AGM.

The question was asked by Club 1872, who are Ibrox shareholders and recently made clear they will be voting against the reappointment of the 72-year-old to the Gers board.

They asked: "Can Douglas Park tell us his five year plan for success on the pitch and accountability off of it."

The chairman replied: "The plan for the next five years is to win as many trophies as we can, to build a team that can win as many games as we can and to reinvest in the club as much as we possibly can.

“Can I just add personally and on behalf of the board that we have absolutely no problem having Club 1872 here.

“The problem between the board and Club 1872 is quite the problem.

“I would like to see it resolved as soon as we can. But until the reluctance to sign an NDA, the same as every other individual does, creates a problem.

“But Club 1872 are welcome any time.

“We need supporters. It’s not my intention to fall out with anyone.

"I’m speaking on behalf of myself but I believe the board would agree with that."

Meanwhile, Barry Ferguson reckons Rangers still have a chance of winning the Premiership title, but only if Celtic "hit a brick wall".

The gap at the top of the table is currently nine points and as a result, Giovanni van Bronckhorst lost his job.

Michael Beale is now the man in charge at Ibrox and he has vowed to give his all to turn things around in Glasgow.

Ferguson admits the new Rangers boss has a huge task on his hands, but he not ruling out a stunning turnaround.

He told GoRadio: "It's a big ask for Rangers, but I've been in the game a long time to know that crazy things happen in football.

"Do I see Rangers clawing back the nine points? Only if Celtic hit a serious brick wall. They've got to win that [game against Hibs]. I'm sure Michael Beale will want that as well.

"He says that he wants a real attack-minded team. That's what the Rangers fans expect - Rangers taking the game to teams.

"Really expansive, full-back's high and wide, numbers get into the box, and the midfield dominating the game.

"I'm looking forward to next Thursday night to see how Michael Beale sets his team up and how Rangers go about the job."

"Rangers have got a tough job to try and claw that nine points back. But looking ahead to next Thursday, I'm looking forward to seeing what style of play and what shape Rangers are going to bring to the game."
